Main Tasks of the Department
- Employment assistance for the graduates of the institute
- Monitoring graduates’ labor activity after completing their studies
- Studying current vacancies and future personnel needs of medical enterprises and organizations across Uzbekistan, and forming or updating the Institute’s “Human Resources Portfolio”
- Developing cooperation between the institute and employer vacancy offices
- Managing arrangements related to the contractual obligations of students enrolled on a contract basis
Measures for Providing Graduates’ Employment
A key responsibility of the department is to support graduates in finding employment and to monitor their work activities after graduation.
Each academic year, the department organizes special events and activities, including:
- Conducting explanatory work on job placement legislation and clarifying the “Regulations regarding the procedure of personnel training on the basis of state grants”
- Creating a database of current graduates for effective distribution, and carrying out annual studies on the number and territorial placement of graduates. This information is shared with employer vacancy offices and local administrative bodies
- Conducting an annual survey among graduates to understand their preferences for job placement, studying vacancies, and forming a list of selected enterprises and organization
- Organizing meetings, presentations, and events with representatives of companies and organizations about working conditions, salaries, and employment procedures
- Advertising graduate information in the media and on the institute’s website to ensure wide coverage of vacancies in medical institutions
- Forming a “Human Resources (Vacancies) Portfolio” based on the needs and applications of enterprises and organizations, and ensuring dean’s offices and chairs share the portfolio with graduates
The department also regularly studies feedback from major employers to improve the quality of trained specialists.
Employment of graduates remains very high (around 100%), and graduates now work across various fields of medicine.
The Marketing Department, together with faculty deans, ensures that students enrolled on a contract basis fulfill their contractual obligations.

Employment Information for 2020–2021 Academic Year
The Bukhara State Medical Institute develops an annual program to ensure graduate employment and monitors the needs of medical institutions for highly qualified specialists across bachelor’s, master’s, and clinical residency programs.

- Employed: 297 (88.7%)
- State grant graduates: 76
- 41 employed in urban/rural family polyclinics and medical colleges
- 33 studying in master’s programs and clinical residency (BSMI, TMA, TPMI, TSDI, TIID, RSECMA)
- 2 graduates on maternity leave
- 2 in the process of employment
- Contract-based graduates: 259
- 100 employed in various clinics and medical associations
- 123 continued master’s or clinical residency
- 5 married with children
- 24 in employment process

Job Distribution and Labor Fair (2021–2022)
Job distribution for bachelor’s, master’s, and clinical residency graduates for the 2021/2022 academic year, as well as a labor fair, was held on April 2, 2022 at the “Youth Center” in Bukhara.
Representatives from the Health Departments of Bukhara, Navoi, and Surkhandarya regions, city and district medical associations, regional medical institutions, and family polyclinics participated. Graduates were provided with job opportunities and signed employment contracts.

A labor fair was also held where regional Health Department representatives presented vacancy information, and Navoi region officials signed employment contracts with graduates from their region.
Comprehensive Medical Examination & Labor Fair in Vabkent
On April 9, 2022, in the Vobkent district at the “Bright Future” camp, an event was held under the motto:
“Only healthy people, a harmoniously developed nation will be able to do great things.”
Activities included:
- Comprehensive medical examinations
- Visiting reception of regional heads
- Labor fair for Bukhara State Medical Institute students
The event was attended by the Rector Sh.Zh. Teshaev, institute teachers, and students, many of whom received job placements.
