The tasks are carried out in line with the Decrees of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 12, 2018, “On measures to regulate the sphere of traditional medicine of the Republic of Uzbekistan PP 3968,” and the decree dated April 10, 2020, “On additional measures for the development of traditional medicine in the Republic of Uzbekistan.”

Based on these requirements, the Clinic of Integrative and Folk Medicine was opened at the Bukhara State Medical Institute as part of the Department of Folk Medicine and Occupational Diseases. The clinic began its operations on October 21, 2020.

The clinic has 20 beds, and so far, more than 500 patients have received successful treatment. All treatments are carried out using prescriptions recommended by Ibn Sino.

Main Tasks

A Clinic of Integrative and Traditional Medicine has been established under the Department of Folk Medicine and Occupational Diseases of the Bukhara State Medical Institute.

Its main tasks include providing medical care to improve public health, introducing effective traditional medicine practices into modern healthcare, and applying these methods for preventing and treating various diseases, including chronic conditions.

Research Work

The clinic actively conducts research in the field of folk medicine. This includes studying the use of pomegranate seed oil in treating lung diseases complicated by fibrosis, preventing and treating early-stage oncological diseases, and evaluating its effectiveness in erosive gastritis, colitis, and enteritis.

Positive results have also been achieved in treating type II diabetes mellitus.

Hirudotherapy is another important method used at the clinic. It is part of a comprehensive treatment system that has benefited hundreds of patients. Known for its centuries-old effectiveness, hirudotherapy is valued for its impact on the entire body, not just a single condition.

Currently, research is underway on the use of sikanjubin (acusomed) for treating liver diseases.

The integrative therapy system used at the clinic is known for its high efficiency. It works by restoring the body as a whole rather than targeting only one area. Its benefits include:

  • Safety for overall health
  • Strong positive effects on the body
  • Quick results from applied treatments
  • Prevention of life-threatening diseases

The Clinic of Integrative and Folk Medicine at the Bukhara State Medical Institute continues to grow in this direction. It has implemented innovative technologies that offer effective and safe ways to restore the body without external intervention.
